Mansen Massit Community Grant

The Mansen Massit Community Grant is open to associations, communities and adult residents of Tampere.

You can apply for a Mansen Massit Community Grant for an activity that

• take place in Tampere 
• is open to all and free of charge 
• is carried out by residents, associations and communities themselves 
• is well planned, realistic and with a realistic budget 
• takes account of physical and social safety and security

Community Grant can be applied for to cover the costs of materials, marketing, premises and fees.

The Mansen Massit Community Grant can not be awarded for the following activities: 

• activities that are contrary to Finnish law or that are contrary to good practice
• racist or discriminatory activities
• basic or internal activities of associations and communities
• activities for which a grant has already been awarded by the municipality 
• profit-making or fundraising activities (including fundraising for charity) 
• the making of recordings or publications intended for sale  
  awards
• catering for sale or for a limited group of persons
• for the serving of alcohol
• prizes
• for investment, acquisition or improvement of property  
• money can be awarded for the purchase of fixed assets only for justified reasons
• personal working allowances
• for the maintenance of services provided by the city
• activities that take place outside Tampere (for example, excursions to other towns and cities)

To apply for the Mansen Massit Community Grant, use the online form on the city's website. The application period starts on Tuesday 2.4.2024 at 9.00.

The deadline for applications is on Monday 29.4.2024 at 15.45. Late applications will not be considered.

The Mansen Massit Community Grant is allocated using the participatory budgeting method.

The recipients are chosen by a vote open to all residents of Tampere. The voting period will run from 20 May to 2 June 2024. 

The Community Grant will be awarded to the projects that receive the highest number of votes.

The Mansen Massit Community Grant is available before the implementation of the action.

The Community Grant is paid in two stages. The first payment will be made in August 2024 at the earliest.

Any unused Mansen Massit Community Grant must be returned to the city.

A short report on the use of the Mansen Massit Community Grant must be submitted using the City's online form. The report must be submitted within two months of the end of the project.
